UPDATE: Source: Turkey delays next meeting on gas hub to Mar 22

ISTANBUL, Feb 10 (PRIME) -- Turkey has preliminarily postponed the next meeting on the gas hub establishment to March 22 from February 14–15 because of the earthquake, a source in the Energy Ministry told PRIME on Friday.

“The summit will preliminarily be held on March 22,” the source said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ordered the governments of both countries in 2022 to work on creation of a gas hub in Turkey swiftly and in detail. The hub could be used to transfer transit of gas from Russia's Nord Stream pipelines to the Black Sea region, and Erdogan thinks that Europe could receive Russian gas through Turkey.
